This museum exhibits the best collection of Romanesque wall painting in the world and a large collection of Gothic art. It is also the reference centre for Modernism and houses a selection of the great European Renaissance and Baroque painters. It also has a large collection of photography, the Drawing and Numismatic cabinets, and post-war and second avant-garde art.
